It's time to explain again I see...

Basically, there are like 4 tiers to this demon chart.

Lowest of the bunch are lesser demons which contrary to their names, are the demons with the most pure blood.

Now how are they the weakest?

Why that's obvious!!!

As pure blooded demons are so incredibly weak, they gained the power to consume souls of other living beings.

The more souls they consume, the stronger they get.

Yet there is a deadly side effect.

Every time they consume a soul, a droplet of that living beings blood will invade their body.

This could be either good or bad.

Say if they consume the soul of a evil god, they would instantly become much much stronger than before.

But think what would happen if they consumed the soul of a cow?

They'd have the blood of a cow running through their veins!

See?

These are the dangers of absorbing souls.

Anyway, next in line are the greater demons.

These demons have basically absorbed quite a few souls and transformed from a lesser demon to this one.

Even if they have, their strength will mostly stay the same.

Though there will be one thing that changes.

Yes it's the title [Greater Demon].

If any lesser demon sees someone with this title, they will instantly fear that person.

This title symbolizes the tenacious ability and experience of that demon.

No one would want to cross those demons.

Unless...

They're the next category.

Demons who rule hell.

The Inkei Demons (Don't search it up, it doesn't exist (probably) ).

All of these demons rule one part of hell and there's a total of 10 of them.

With them around, Hell has split into 10 different areas.

Basically, they're very very powerful.

They are also all mixed blood demons.

Each race has a specific animal they must mate with to gain the next generation.

No exceptions.

That's just how they're born.

To put it in other terms.

It's like an arranged marriage.

Where your hands are tied behind your back.

And whoever marries you takes advantage of it.

Once the child is born, the previous heir is thrown away like trash and leaves the animal in charge.

One good thing about this system is that they respect gender equality (Not much racial equality though).

The cycle then repeats forever and ever.

And each of the 10 mixed blood demons mate with one specific animal.

Every single one of them will only mate with ONE specific animal.

Which means...

Some of them are incredibly disgusting.

But hey!!!

I mean they get strong powers right?

To rule hell it's enough.

But as for the last category of demons.

Not even close.

The strongest type of demon...

Welp...

They're called source demons!!!

As the name implies, they are the source of all demons.

Every single demon has the blood of the source demons.

Some have more and some have less.

Though this category of demon is quite unique.

You know why?

Because it means being the first of your kind.

If you were born with a slightly different type of blood than other demons.

You're basically suited to become a source demon.

It's not easy though.

This can be shown as only 2 demons have actually managed to ascend to the category of source demon.

From what ancient demons have said.

"The trials to turn into one are impossible."

"One must break the shackles of light to even reach the first step."

"If all other demons can't beat the light, then how can we?"

"Inconceivable!!!"
